Methods and Processes Revenue Management & Distribution is responsible for developing and managing our project portfolio driving cross-functional innovations to ensure our industry-leading position. Also in focus is the deployment of cutting-edge methodologies to materialize on current trends, e.g. in Advanced Analytics or Conversational Commerce. We ensure the alignment with and support the development of the functional strategy of the RM and Distribution processes.

You identify innovative models and improvements to methods, systems, and processes. You support or lead projects relating to integration and collaboration with our airline partners. You initiate, plan, and manage projects up to their implementation in practice and hand-over to routine functions. For identification and realization, we closely cooperate with all commercial processes especially Revenue Management and Distribution processes, IT, commercial partners, and research institutions.

The position is based in Zurich, while the team and interfaces are distributed over several locations. You report to the Head of Methods and Processes Revenue Management and Distribution located in Frankfurt.

 

Your duties

  • Manage requirements, lead sub-/project teams and actively prepare and drive decisions by decision makers, e.g. commercial boards.
  • Manage frameworks and requirements covering all commercial functions for collaboration with airline partners in regards to new developments and strategic focus
  • Coordinate, consult, and align parallel projects also without direct responsibility to ensure consistent overall results according to standards defined
  • Develop and improve methods, processes, and systems used within Revenue Management and Distribution (e.g. caching strategies)
  • Drive and identify innovations by exchanging within and outside the industry with practitioners and academics. Develop and realize innovative and profitable commercial models and tools (e.g. bundled dynamic offers)
  • Regularly exchange and partner up with scientific experts to drive cutting-edge developments (e.g. forecasting and optimization methods)
  • Drive change and knowledge management to support roll-out of new methods and tools
  • Align strategies and projects with commercial partners e.g. Joint-Venture airlines
Your profile
  • University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Business Administration, Economics, Business Engineering or comparable
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in or closely collaborating with diverse airlines’ commercial functions
  • In-depth knowledge of aviation commercial processes and preferably applied methods and systems
  • Proven proficiency in project management and coordinating parallel cross-functional initiatives with diverse stakeholders
  • Preferably acquainted to methods of process modelling, analysis, and optimization
  • Able to analytically break-down and solve complex problems with high focus on implementation, applies a pragmatic mindset, thinks and acts in agile manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, written and spoken fluency in English, and preferably also in German
  • Proven team player as well as ability to work independently and unsupervised, willingness to travel
