Network Management Continental 80-100% or Sharing Position in Zürich

SWISS Network Management is responsible for planning of an optimal flight schedule for both the SWISS and Edelweiss fleet. This core airline function takes into consideration commercial- and operational requirements through successfully balancing optimal productivity with operational stability and profitability aspirations. As an integral part of the commercial process, network management is responsible for the development, steering and implementation of the SWISS route network, based on substantial analytics in terms of internal and external factors, competition and economics. The resulting network options and recommendations lay the foundation for management decision making.

 Your duties

• Development and optimization of the SWISS continental route network
• Elaboration of proposals and concepts for serving existing and potential future routes (qualitative and quantitative methods)
• Calculation of comprehensive business cases for network projects incl. market and profitability data
• Network performance analysis incl. monitoring of results, market- and competition development
• Network business development projects
• Coordination and alignment of flight schedule measures with various interfaces within SWISS and LH Group (commercial- and operational departments)
• Prepare presentations for management

• Comprehensive business education and/or BA- or MA degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering or Aviation Management
• Several years of experience in the airline industry (operational and/or commercial areas)
• Ability to effectively manage complexity
• Strong problem-solving attitude and ability to deal with multiple, interdependent issues at a time
• Pragmatic and solution oriented mindset, driving results and processes
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking
• Confident and able to perform consistently also under pressure
• Assertiveness, resilience and high degree of flexibility
• Diligent and systematic working approach
• Hands-on team player who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment
• Experience and knowledge with network- and analytical IT systems of advantage
