We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher with a background in operations management or general management, who would like to contribute to the Chair of Production and Operations Management (POM) at ETH Zurich. The primary criteria for employment is research at a high level of scientific quality, measured by potential for near-future publications in top POM or general management journals (e.g., Financial Times top-50 journals). The Chair of POM welcomes applications in related empirical domains (strategic management or innovation management), but excluding mathematical modelling/OR.

The Chair of POM is part of the Department of Management, Technology, and Economics (D-MTEC), which houses a world-class faculty. ETH is situated in the heart of Europe with excellent research facilities, infrastructure, and quality of life.
The main activity of the position is research within the field of empirical production and operations management, with emphasis on publishing in top general management and POM journals (for example, JOM, POM, M&SOM, Management Science, AMJ, SMJ, etc.). The candidate can expect limited teaching and service duties. The position will help the candidate advance his/hers academic career. We offer a full-time position with a competitive salary. You have a Ph.D. degree from a recognized university (or will be close to completion), strong research and writing skills; experience with empirical research; strong team player skills, industrial experience is beneficial but not a prerequisite. First-rate oral and written English skills are required. The successful candidate will become part of an ambitious research team offering an excellent research environment. The working language is English.
