The administrative department Educational Development and Technology (LET) at ETH Zurich is looking for a student interested in developing educational software within the Unity development environment. As part of the rectorate of ETH, LET supports all faculty and staff engaged in the teaching mission of ETH by providing professional development, curriculum development, evaluation, and technical infrastructure services. LET also fosters innovation in teaching and learning through a variety of efforts including educational software development.
Applicants will experiment with ways of learning physics and other natural sciences through gamification and visualization using the Unity platform. They will also need to implement new features in existing software projects, as well as debug and test (test cases will oftentimes be based on physics concepts). The position is initially limited to three months with the possiblity of extensions.
Strong knowledge of Unity and C# is a prerequisite for this position. In addition, applicants should have a solid background in physics. Finally, applicants must be willing to occasionally travel to Luzern to work in the planetarium dome of the Verkehrshaus.
