Upgrades, lounge vouchers, car rental, duty free and onboard connectivity are a few examples of the wide product portfolio that is managed by the Ancillary department. During your internship you will be part of a dynamic and innovative unit within the Commercial Division that shapes the future ancillary offering of the Lufthansa Group. Along with defining strategic action areas, identifying & evaluating product ideas as well as planning the project portfolio are major field of your activities.

As a fully-fledged member, you’ll collaborate with your colleagues in their daily business, and will also take on your own duties in the fields of analysis, action planning, concept development and project management. In doing so you’ll also work closely with all further Commercial units such as Product, Revenue Management, Sales and Marketing, and with the IT colleagues.

Your responsibilities

  • Supporting your Ancillary Services colleagues in the fields of strategy, innovation and portfolio management
  • Conducting research and market/ competitor analyses (especially in terms of product portfolio and new businesses)
  • Identifying, defining and developing strategic action areas based on analysis findings, internal goals and market/ customer needs
  • Preparing and illustrating analyses and reports to determine the current performance of products for the attention of top management
  • Devising persuasive presentations on strategic projects or products
  • Coordinating with the further internal interest groups involved (e.g. Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, IT and Communications)
Your profile
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or an “HF” Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education in business administration
  • A very good spoken and written command of English, with further languages an advantage
  • Very good MS Office skills
  • (Preferably) some initial experience in product or project management, in business analyses and development and/or in marketing, sales and distribution
  • A swift grasp of essentials, responsibility, reliability and commitment
  • A keen interest in analyzing and processing data and in developing business concepts and models
  • Some knowledge of airline management would also be an advantage

Salary:
CHF 2'500.- gross for Bachelor degree / Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education
CHF 3'000.- per month for Master degree
