Job description
The applicant will be primarily working as a user-interface designer of the CSElab's Bayesian Uncertainty Quantification and Optimization framework, . The Korali framework implements state-of-the-art algorithms for scalable, high-performance statistical analysis. As such, it produces huge amounts of information that require human interpretation. The assistant will collaborate with Korali researchers to design and implement methods to create human-readable graphs that help in understanding such information. Additionally, the assistant will help in designing and implementing a GUI (Graphical User Interface) to facilitate the use of Korali.
We require the assistant to be present at our office during their workhours. Our office is located near the ETH main building, and our working language is English. The appointment duration and hours are flexible and based on the workload. Salaries are internationally competitive, paid according to .
Your profile
The ideal candidate will be an undergraduate/Master student with a strong background in Software Engineering. They will have experience in designing any or all of the following: a GUI for a software, scientific plotting, information-oriented graphical design for web page or related media. The candidate will also have a strong knowledge of Python (especially for GUI design) and (optional) be familiar with C/C++.
