Job Description This position is offered in the context of a Novartis Innovation initiative to support novel cross-functional programs. The main responsibilities of this position include developing extended release protein formulations for parenteral application and subsequently characterizing those delivery systems in vitro. We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral scientist with a passion for drug development.
Your responsibilities:
• Develop innovative protein formulations for extended release • Execute laboratory experiments and apply technical knowledge • Develop state-of-the-art analytical methods for characterization of proteins and their degradation products • Study relevant scientific literature • Present results in an interdisciplinary project team
Minimum requirementsWhat you’ll bring to the role:
• PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology, or related fields in natural sciences • Fluent in English (written and spoken) • Experience in formulation and analytical development of protein therapeutics • Highly motivated with strong collaborative spirit • Excellent organization and communication skills
Desirable requirements:
• Fluent in German (written and spoken) • Experience in development parenteral extended release formulations • Experience in spray drying and lyophilization
You’ll receive:
• Broad exposure to state of the art technologies in formulation and process development up to pilot scale and in protein analytics.
Duration: 12 months
