Who we are
AsyLex is a Swiss charity providing free online legal aid to asylum seekers. Our team consists of 50 dedicated volunteers who are working remotely. We advise in over 10 languages and we have served over 1’700 clients in the past 3 years.
Your tasks
To cover the increasing workload, we are looking for a highly committed intern interested in asylum law. Your main tasks will be:
Our perfect intern
You recently graduated from a university (law or social sciences / social work, also universities of applied sciences) and you are determined to support those people in society who need it most. You have experience in asylum law, or you are willing to learn quickly. You speak German perfectly and advanced English. Any additional language (in particular French, Italian, Arabic, Farsi or Tigrinya) and previous work experience is a plus. You are responsive, you like to take responsibility and provide over a hands-on mentality.
Your opportunities
You will work in an international team of talented volunteers and get exposure to people from all over the world. Education is key for us – and you will be able to benefit from invaluable resources such as seminar attendance and personal coaching. Our offices are in Zürich, your working hours are flexible and home office is possible. You have the chance to make a difference in many people’s life, learn a lot from experienced specialists and expand your network. Your salary will be CHF 1’000.- per month (for 100%).
