The IC Columns division researches, develops and produces the heart of ion chromatography here at the international headquarters in Herisau. For the research of new column materials and technologies we are looking for a Chemist as Team Leader IC Columns Innovation & Technology (m/f).

• In this challenging position you will be responsible for researching new technologies as a toolbox for our column development together with a small, highly motivated team.
• You work interdisciplinary with internal & external partners.
• You explore new concepts & establish research collaborations in close cooperation with our CTO.
• You will develop innovative chromatography materials up to concept maturity in consultation with our product management and know the needs of our product development.
• You promote the innovative mindset of the division and support other teams in the implementation of innovation projects.
• You will also be responsible for patent and knowledge management in the IC Column division.
• You know how to motivate your employees and to establish innovative new product and technology ideas together with them.

• You have a scientific background in polymer chemistry and chromatography (PhD in chemis-try/chemical engineering/material sciences or many years of experience in industrial research/collaboration are required).
• You have successfully completed research projects under your leadership in the field of chromatography materials, preferably in ion chromatography.
• You can present and explain complex chemical concepts and technologies both to the scientific chromatography community and to internal users.
• You know the commercial and scientific chromatography market and can identify sustainable trends for the future.
• You cultivate open and transparent communication, know how to inspire your employees through active coaching and motivating objectives and are able to promote and actively live interdisciplinary working.
• You speak German and English fluently.
