Job Description 100+ novel therapeutic protein candidates are evaluated per year regarding their immunogenicity potential by the NBC-MI Immunogenicity group.
You will work in a collaborative team that is applying a multitude of different technologies such as MAPPs (MHC associated peptide proteomics), human in vitro DC & T cell assays, serological ADA profiling, human in vitro B cell expansion assays and in silico methodologies.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to generate high impact data on a highly visible project and work together in a diverse team of immunogenicity experts.
Your responsibilities: Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Design/execute experiments and identify next steps based on analysis of own data and data from other lab contributors. Independently modify existing lab techniques and implement techniques new to the lab • Communicate results and conclusions to project meetings. Provide input to internal / external publications including writing relevant sections • Collaborate across project team labs to design and implement new assays and techniques.. Suggest/build new network connections within existing project teams. • Routinely train members of lab and broader project team in familiar techniques • Take over organizational responsibility (such as equipment power user, lab safety rep) • Accountable for increasingly complex experiments; key contributor to the success of drug discovery, technology, and/or early development projects. Brings ideas from a concept or question to a decision in experimental design, based on previous observations • Design and perform cell-based assays and/or ELISA assays for immunogenicity potential assessment under minimal supervision. Compile and analyze data under minimal supervision
Minimum requirementsWhat you’ll bring to the role: • Successfully completed BSc or MS degree in Biology / Biotechnology and Biochemistry or related field • At least 2 years of experience in industrial or academic setting in immunology • Fluent English, German language proficiency of advantage • Strong hands-on experience in ELISA • Experience in FLISA assays,Biacore and Flow Cytometry of advantage • Ability to analyze and interpret scientific information critically and objectively • Strong inter-personal skills ensuring close collaboration with team members
