NIBR Biologics Center (NBC) is responsible to create new Biologics entities ranging from monoclonal antibodies to AAV molecules, and to ensure their fitness to requirements that a drug must fulfill. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate who has recently graduated from Master study. The role of the postgraduate is to develop an analytical assay that is able to characterize the integrity of biological products in complex sample matrix (eg. Cell lysate, captured material, etc.). The candidate will have the opportunity to develop a technology supporting the development of novel modalities for biotherapeutics. He/She will work with state-of-art mass spectrometry (MS) instrumentation, get to learn the process of cell line development, as well as the chance to work in a team of passionate protein scientists, together to tackle challenges in biological development.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Development of novel mass spectrometry methods for the characterization of biotherapeutics • Optimize workflow for the extraction, enrichment and quantification of biological products • Develop data processing workflows with mass spectrometry software (UNIFI, Genedata Refiner MS) • • • • Writing of report and the laboratory protocols • Maintain lab equipment if needed • Duration 12 months • Planned start date 15 January 2021
Minimum requirementsWhat you’ll bring to the role:
• Entry-level specialist, delivering support to local/ global sub-functions Biologics & Advanced Therapies • MSc or equivalent education in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology or a related discipline • Solid theoretical knowledge of protein chemistry and analytical methods for characterization of proteins • • Practical experience of protein analysis method, mass spectrometry (MS) preferred • Independence, curiosity mind set, as well as good communication and organizational skills are required. • Fluent in English in written and oral
