The at the Institute of Neuroinformatics, ETH Zurich is looking for a student part-time programmer for scientific software.
The Neurotechnology group developed a state-of-the-art artificial intelligence pipeline for the analysis of animal behavior in complex environments, which consists of multiple deep neural networks. [“SIPEC”, see 1]. We’ve showcased our approach can segment and identify monkeys in their home-cage environment as well as classify their behavior and track their pose. Our SIPEC software allows the continuous analysis of large amounts of behavioral data and opens new avenues to study social structures and dynamics. We are now looking to streamline our software such that its use becomes very user friendly for practitioners from various backgrounds. This involves to streamline prototypical code, adding an easy GUI for data annotation and result visualization as well as storage.
