The Nanomaterials Engineering Research Group at the Institute for Chemical and Bioengineering () is an interdisciplinary team composed of chemical engineers, physicists, chemists, materials scientists, and electrical engineers focusing on physics and chemistry of nanomaterials for advancing nanomaterials-​based electronics and optoelectronics.

Job description

This position is funded by an Innosuisse project working closely with an industrial partner. The project starts February 1st, 2021, duration is 18 months. The contract may be prolonged upon outcome of research.

The successful candidate should demonstrate experience in thin-film technology (PVDs and thermal evaporators), electron microscopy, and automated experimentation.

Your profile

The candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in natural sciences or engineering, with a strong interest in the engineering of thin-film nanostructures, porosity, and crystallinity, in order to optimize the sensing perfomance.
