The Chair of Strategic Management and Innovation at the Department of Management, Technology and Innovation invites applications for a PhD position in Strategic Management and Innovation.
Innovation is a key source of a firm's competitive advantage. It is therefore of theoretical and practical importance to understand how large companies efficiently and effectively organize their innovation processes.
We are searching for a PhD candidate who will work in a long-term research project with a privately owned industrial company headquartered in Switzerland. As part of a research team consisting of the PhD student, senior researchers, and Professor von Krogh, the PhD candidate will accompany the industry partner in its efforts to improve the roll-out of innovation projects into its global locations. Based on in-depth empirical research, the student will explore various topics in the realm of innovation, organizational learning, international business, and the knowledge-based view of the firm, and aim to publish theoretical contributions in top journals in the management field.
We offer an inspiring, supportive, and team-based research environment to support your immediate immersion into an ongoing research agenda. In addition to attractive salary conditions, the chair offers an excellent location in the center of Zurich (consistently ranked as one of the world’s premier cities in terms of living standards). The students will be supervised by Professor Georg von Krogh and Dr. Shiko Ben-Menahem. Read more about our research group on .
