This internship is to support our Protein Science unit in Chemical Biology & Therapeutics (CBT) by contributing to the sample characterization and preparation for biophysical and structural studies including Electron Microscopy.
Timing: as soon as possible Duration: 4-6 months
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Expression and purification of protein-complexes using different expression systems (bacteria, insect cells, mammalian cells) • Expression and purification of anti-body fragments • Protein quality control using standard methods • Protein binding studies using various biophysical techniques • EM sample preparation
Minimum requirementsRecent Master graduate with a Degree in Biotechnology, Engineering or Biochemistry (recently graduated) • Hands on experience in protein expression, purification, and characterization. • Knowledge of data analysis software and basics in programming desired • Proficient in English (written and spoken) • Keen on working in an interdisciplinary team
