Job Description We are ready to welcome you to the Academy in Clinical Sciences & Innovation!
2 years! This is the length of our Clinical Sciences training program within Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research Clinical Sciences & Innovation (CS&I), which offers training and experience for those that want to develop their careers into Clinical Research Operations.
Through the Academy in CS&I, you have the opportunity to develop into the area of Clinical Research Operations and establish skills and experience in operational and logistical aspects supporting early clinical trials within an international multi-cultural Pharmaceutical research environment. You will be trained by clinical operations professionals and have the chance to apply your knowledge and strengths in various project assignments across different disease areas and types of clinical trial work. In parallel to your Academy learning, your core responsibility will be to contribute and support various CS&I groups working on clinical trials as part of the clinical trial team. Your contributions will support CS&I clinical teams throughout the study lifecycle and what you do will develop based on your proficiencies and interests. The Academy is looking for 3 different profiles:
Career start: recent University degree graduate 2020/2021 (BA, MA, BSc, MSc, PharmD, PhD)
Career change: professionals with an existing career different to clinical operations
Career relaunch: professionals wanting to return to work after a career break for any reason
During the Academy you will
• Be trained and onboarded by professionals • Embark on a progressive, blended and flexible learning experience covering conceptual, theoretical and experiential techniques • Gain hands-on experience by contributing to and supporting a range of clinical operations work tasks • Broaden your professional horizon by rotating through different CS&I groups aligned with your interests and based on open opportunities, such as Clinical Trial Team Leads, Finance, Feasibility, Data Sciences and others
Duration of program: 24 months Program start: January 2022
Minimum requirementsThe Academy is looking for
• Interest in clinical research • University degree (BA, MA, BSc, MSc, PharmD or PhD) • Business-level English oral & written • Good organizational and interpersonal skills • Ability to work in a team and independently, managing multiple priorities with support • Good Office IT skills
Based on Swiss permit regulations, applicants must already have an EU/EFTA or Swiss Passport, or non-EU/EFTA with an unrestricted Swiss Residence & Work Permit or family reunification B permit.
