 Your Role and Responsibilities:

The IBM Client Innovation Center (CIC) Switzerland is looking for a work student to coordinate and support management activities at the center. We’re looking for candidates, ideally based in Bern, who would like to work part-time between 40-70 % (during their studies at a Swiss university or Technical High school.)
While this position is predominately a management support function, you may also get the opportunity to participate in some special projects and take on additional responsibility.

This job includes mainly the following responsibilities:

  • Support the management with operational as well as administrative activities on a periodic basis
  • Handle the onboarding of new employees joining the IBM CIC
    • Configuring the systems with Windows 10/MacOS
    • Support new employees on questions related to mandatory tasks and other administrative activities
  • Project Management for ongoing engagements
  • Support for Management Reporting, meeting preparation and minutes
  • Support for CIC operations
  • Design, update and manage internal websites and marketing material
  • Prepare client presentations and client documents
  • Provide active support with recruitment and talent acquisition
  • Event organisation
  • Research tasks

This position will help you gain practical experience, knowledge and skills from the largest consulting company in the world.

  • Good technical skills with regards to software installation and basic trouble shooting

Required Professional and Technical Expertise:

  • Ideally you are studying either technology management, innovation management, business administration, computer science or economics.
  • You are a student, enrolled in a Swiss university or Technical High School and you are either a Swiss citizen or hold a B permit.
  • Written and spoken fluency in German (absolute must) and English. French would be a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as good time management skills.
  • Good technical skills with regards to software installation and basic trouble shooting
  • Ability to work independently in a team environment with a strong commitment to deliver assigned tasks
  • Flexibility depending on workload to respect timelines
  • Mobility (in Switzerland: ideally based in Bern but with travel up to Zurich/Geneva)
