Junior IT Service Desk Support (Basel) in Zürich

The Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering has 350 international staff and scientists of many disciplines. We focus on research in complex biological systems. Based in Basel, the Department is part of ETH Zürich.

We offer an exciting opportunity to work in our mixed platform and customer focused environment. You will be involved in 2nd-level hands-on IT support to customers, Mac and Windows software and hardware support, ticket resolution, helping with user introductions, stock and machine-lifecycle handling, and multi-media/lecture-room support.

This role is being offered 5 months, with May 1 as the earliest starting date, on a 80-100% basis.

Your experiences, skills and interests include a good selection of the following:

• experience of the Mac or Windows platforms
• familiarity with computer hardware
• basic understanding of networks
• skills in German and English
