PhD position in heterogeneous catalysis with a focus on the use of atomic layer deposition (ALD) for the fabrication of well-defined catalysts.
The research group of Prof. Müller (ETH Zürich; ) is looking for a highly motivated candidate with a strong interest in the development of heterogeneous catalysts, and material characterization, structure-property relationships, aided by the application of ALD in catalysis research.
You will participate in research projects and closely work with PhD students, postdocs and collaborators of the Laboratory of Energy Science and Engineering. Your work will focus on the development of ALD-derived catalysts for several catalytic applications.
You are expected to have a master’s degree in Chemistry, Material Science or Chemical Engineering. Experience in the field of material synthesis and/or material characterization is a plus. We are looking for motivated, committed, creative individuals able to work in a team and with excellent communication skills. Working in a top-level research environment with advanced laboratory infrastructure, you will have a unique opportunity to develop your research abilities. The position is available from October 2022 onwards.
