The Immigration Policy Lab and the KOF - Swiss Economic Institute are looking for a Junior Researcher in Quantitative Social Science (1-2-year fixed term).

Project background

Your position is part of a large-scale interdisciplinary research project at the intersection of cognitive behavioural therapy and refugee integration policy. In a large-scale randomized controlled trial, we test an augmented and analyze if and how it can improve the mental health and integration of refugees and asylum seekers in Switzerland. 

Job description

Your primary tasks will be to support the coordination, collection and management of all project data. This data includes survey data assessing mental health and various dimensions of integration as well as register data from health insurance companies and the Swiss federal government. To do so, you will collaborate closely with the project's core team as well as various stakeholders who contribute data to the project.

Your profile
  • Completed master’s degree (or close to graduation*) in a social science field such as economics, political science, or similar
  • Excellent planning and coordination skills
  • Solid foundations in statistics 
  • Proficiency in the statistical software package R and/or Stata
  • Prior experience with data cleaning and management 
  • Fluency in German and English (French is a plus) 
  • Very good communication skills to engage with various stakeholders

*Applicants without a completed master’s degree need to be enrolled at a Swiss University.
