We invite applications for a PhD position under the supervision of Prof. Thomas Peter at the Institute for Atmospheric and Climate Science, ETH Zurich, Switzerland and Dr. Eugene Rozanov at the PMOD/WRC, Davos, Switzerland.
The research project “Past and future of the Ozone Layer Evolution (POLE)” is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation. The main objective of this project is to understand the past behavior and to predict the future evolution of the ozone layer. The PhD student will apply a stateof- the-art Earth system model with interactive chemistry and sulfate aerosol microphysics to simulate past and future ozone layer evolution. The PhD student will also analyze the results, and compare them with observations.
