Role: Novartis Pharma Services AG, registered in Basel, Switzerland, operates in 100 countries worldwide where there is no local legal entity to ensure access to medicine for patients in small and emerging markets. The team in Basel is responsible for the export business: from the distribution contract to the shipment abroad and from the funding of the representative office to the review of the month end balances. The candidate will have a unique opportunity to see many aspects of different finance and export processes in a Pharma company and will acquire useful hands on experience in accounting and reporting.
Accountabilities: A. Manage all finance operations processes for a few (own) countries, like: - Applying incoming payments - Booking Credit & Debit notes - Support Month-End Closing activities, like: Sales Reduction Accruals, Balance Sheet Reviews, SAP period end closing checks, etc. B. Reviewing and updating Fin Ops documentation C. Support Fin Ops Projects
- Bachelor or Masters degree in finance, preferably with focus on accounting - Good business acumen and logical thinking - Team player - Good communication skills - Affinity with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required - Excellent English (spoken and written), another language is an advantage - Finance / Accounting experience will be useful
