Student Internship in Bioassay Analytics (from January 2019, for 6 Months) in Basel

This internship in the Technical Development Biologics Europe (PTDE) department – takes over projects from research and supports them during the clinical development phase until commercialization. Within the analytical development department, the Bioassay section supports the entire biotech portfolio with regard to functional assays.

Your main accountabilities will be:

• Execution and documentation of release and stability analysis for activity determination of therapeutic proteins under GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).

• Utilization of different Bioassay methods.
• Maintenance of a GMP-conform laboratory infrastructure.
• Culturing of several eukaryotic cell lines.
• Optimization of bioassay methods.

What do you need in your toolbox?

• You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Molecular Life Sciences, Biology, Analytics or related degree area.
• You have practical experience with cell culture and immunoassays.
• Able to work independently and efficiently with little guidance, have an enthusiastic and open-minded attitude
• Fluent in English or German
