The Professorship for X-ray imaging at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering develops novel X-ray imaging techniques at the Swiss Light Source, the synchrotron facility located at the Paul Scherrer Institute. In particular, the team actively pursues the efforts of transferring new approaches to clinical routine applications. Your tasks will include: Execution of in-vivo breast imaging measurements with our world-first gratings-interferometry-based mammography device in collaboration with medical staff at University Hospital in Zürich; signal retrieval, image processing and analysis for the clinical interpretation of the results; optimization and further improvements of the measurements protocols (in the lab and in the clinic); dissemination of results at conferences and with scientific publications.
