The PositionWe are seeking an outstanding candidate for this position within the Rare Disease group at Roche. The Rare Disease group is focused on discovery and development of novel therapeutics for genetically defined diseases with high unmet medical need. The group lies within the Neuroscience, Ophthalmology and Rare Disease (NORD) Disease Translation Area (DTA), part of the Pharma Research and Early Development (pRED) organization. The RiSE program (Roche Internships for Scientific Exchange) offers the most talented postgraduate students the opportunity to enhance their competencies and to gain valuable work experience with us. The position will be based in Basel, Switzerland.
The focus of the position will be to explore gene replacement approaches for a rare neuromuscular disorder. The goal will be to optimize and establish molecular and cellular screening platforms to monitor transfection/infection efficiency of gene expression.
