ETH Zurich is one of the world’s leading universities specialising in science and technology. It is renowned for its excellent education, its cutting-edge fundamental research and its efforts to put new knowledge and innovations directly into practice. The European Politics group belongs to the Center for Comparative and International Studies at ETH and the University of Zurich. Its members do research on European integration and EU politics.
The position is funded by the EU H2020 project “Integrating Diversity in the European Union” (InDivEU), Work Package “The Evolution of Differentiated Integration: Patterns, Causes and Effects”. The prospective PhD student will join the European Politics research group (headed by Frank Schimmelfennig) and be part of a project team. She or he is expected to contribute to the project tasks but will have ample time for independent PhD work. Funding is for three years, with a possible extension of one year. Salary is paid according to ETH standards.
