The primary objective of this postdoctoral research project is to develop and apply both experimental (optical and Magnetic Resonance Imaging based) and numerical techniques (Lagrangian and/or continuum modelling) to elucidate the underlying physics of a number of poorly understood phenomena in (multi-phase) granular systems.
