Coordinator Star Alliance Switzerland (70-80%) in Zürich

Star Alliance is with its 28 member carriers the biggest airline alliance worldwide. This position is the main coordinator of all marketing & sales activities of the Star Alliance in the Swiss market and it is the interface between the Star Alliance Headquarters and the member carriers in Switzerland. The external links are towards the travel industry (travel agencies), travel managers of corporates in Switzerland as well as frequent flyers and travel media.

Your duties

• Overall lead and coordination of the wide range of Star Alliance sales & marketing activities in Switzerland
• Planning and implementation of the Business Plan for Star Alliance in Switzerland
• Organizing and leading the Country Steering Council, which is the decision body composed by the local country managers of Star Alliance member carriers in Switzerland, as well as the respective functional task forces.
• Promotion and sales responsibility for Star Alliance fare products in the local market
• Conceptualizing and management of various corporate & leisure travel trade events
• Continuous development and implementation of the digital presence of Star Alliance in Switzerland
• Education and training of local airline/trade representatives in regards to products & services of Star Alliance

• Degree in Marketing and/or Business Administration, Airline Management
• Good knowledge of the air travel market in Switzerland
• Fluent in written and spoken English, German and ideally in French
• Very strong intercultural and interpersonal communication skills
• Open minded, adaptable and creative with a strong “hands-on” attitude
• Previous work experience in an airline environment is a big plus
• High interest in digital marketing solution
