The Lufthansa Group corporate sales organization is responsible for the exploration of new market potentials and for the acquisition of new corporate customers. Through contractual agreements and strategic further development of corporate customers we ensure that sustainable revenues are generated and that full advantage is taken of all available potential for the Lufthansa Group and our joint-venture airline partners.

As the “Customer Face” of the Lufthansa Group in the Swiss market, we safeguard the Group’s business interests and implement its overall sales and distribution strategy by conducting a partnerly, fair and open dialogue with our clients. We further formulate the market’s and our clients’ wishes and requirements of the Lufthansa Group, to channel these into its distribution strategy and distribution program design.

 

Your Duties

As our New Business & Corporate Sales Executive - Western Switzerland, you will be entrusted with new business acquisition, conceptual and specific account management tasks that are designed to optimize our revenues.

 

New Business tasks:

  • Co-development and implementation of the market development strategy for the Small and Medium Enterprises & New Corporate Account acquisition of the Lufthansa Group in Western Switzerland
  • Concept and development of partnerships with industry associations, chambers of commerce, etc.
  • Generation and development of sales leads
  • Acquisition of new corporate customers for the Lufthansa Group
  • Representation of the Lufthansa Group at Small & Medium Enterprises fairs and workshops

 

Account Management tasks:

  • Account management of medium size local corporate clients
  • Negotiating, concluding, further developing and monitoring contractual agreements that are specifically tailored to the client’s travel programs and portfolio in co-operation with account steering
  • Coordinating and negotiating contractual components with our account steering, local distribution colleagues and alliance partners
  • Analyzing distribution data
  • Conducting information and feedback discussions with the client
  • Defining and initiating actions to manage performance and enhance client loyalty
  • Devising business and action plans
Your profile
  • A higher education (university, university of applied science level degree or higher federal diploma in sales, account management)
  • At least two years of professional experience in distribution, sales and/or key account management, preferably at an airline or a travel management company (TMC)
  • An analytical and conceptual thinking approach
  • Cost/benefit awareness
  • Persuasiveness and negotiating skills
  • Strong presentational and communications skills
  • A professional manner and appearance
  • An excellent spoken and written command of French and English. (Swiss) German is an asset
