Within the Lufthansa Group (LHG) Training Development & Steering unit we are responsible for the development and strategical steering of Ground Operations training offers for LHG Hub Airlines Ground Operations. Our aim is to continuously improve our employees skills and techniques as well as to develop and coordinate future training needs and trends. In the position Training Development & Projects you steer & coordinate  the training and development assignments safely and effectively as per our safety, legal and corporate standards. You collaborate with LHG Ground Operations Management and Training units to create successful training and development programs that meet the specific needs of the LHG Hub Airlines Ground Operations. Furthermore, you are in charge to lead assigned projects and to modernize LHG Ground Operations Operational Training. Your responsibility covers business partner and provider management and includes the identification of training needs and mapping out operational training development plans.


Your Duties:

  • Lead projects and ensure continuity after the project has ended
  • Manage successfully assigned project portfolio
  • Ensure that regulatory requirements and training standards are fulfilled
  • Streamline and coordinate trainings with the LHG Hub Airlines in order to ensure equal or similar, well balanced training to assure safety and legal aspects for operation at international stations and its LHG Hubs
  • Research and recommend new training methods / innovations
  • Ensure training development for assigned operational training areas as key account
  • Responsible for quality management in regards to training success, business partners and possible external providers
Your profile
  • Bachelor degree in Business, College of higher education
  • Proven experience in regard to Project Management
  • Broad experience in Ground Operations: passenger handling activities; load control and ramp handling
  • Experience in conceptual development of trainings
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English (written and spoken)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that is continuously challenging
  • Strong communication skills
  • Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work independently
