ETH Zurich is one of the world’s leading universities specialising in science and technology. It is renowned for its excellent education, its cutting-edge fundamental research and its efforts to put new knowledge and innovations directly into practice.
The successful candidate will work mainly experimental in the area of current interruption and switching in HVAC and HVDC gas circuit breakers and switching in novel gas mixtures. She/he will, together with other team members, take our new flexible pulsed current source into operation that enables investigations up to 20kA and 10kV with arbitrary current wave-shape. It is planned to extend the current portfolio of excellent diagnostics with passive and active optical diagnostics. The successful candidate will not only continue to research on world-class level, but will also gain experience in leading smaller sub-groups of PhD and Master students and strategic research planning.
