The main task of Revenue Management is to achieve the optimal revenue and to maximize profitability for the company by managing the relationship between price, demand and capacity. 

The Revenue Steering Analyst Europe develops strategies to maximise revenues for a given set of routes by forecasting traffic flows, monitoring bid prices and setting flight optimisation parameters on the assigned routes. He or she identifies untapped revenue opportunities within his or her route set and anticipates trends, peaks and developments in coordination with internal and external interfaces. He/she will then work with Pricing, Network Management and other commercial teams to coordinate actions and to ensure implementation of initiatives and measuring the impact once live. 

Your Duties

  • Maximise revenues for a given set of routes by balancing demand, capacity and opportunity costs (i.e. bid prices)
  • Identify and assess external market conditions such as booking behaviour, demand patterns or special events and create demand forecast for traffic flows on assigned routes
  • Analyse operational flight patterns and set/adjust flight optimisation parameters (e.g. overbooking, decrement, upgrading parameters, curtain version settings, etc.)
  • Monitor and analyse performance by gathering relevant information required from various databases/reports
  • Compile and deliver appropriate reporting and analyses and derive relevant improvement measures Identify revenue opportunities and take necessary actions to increase performance for the assigned set of routes
  • Ensure close collaboration and exchange with interfaces at Revenue Management, Network
  • Management and Station Management
  • Model and calculate business cases also in coordination with Network Management
  • Prepare persuasive presentations to upper management
Your profile
  • University degree in economics, business administration or similar education
  • Experience in data manipulation and analysis in an increasingly digital environment
  • Experience in Revenue Management would be an asset Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
  • Teamplayer with strong communication and social skills
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set, taking ownership of a task/project and following it through until the end
  • Ability to break complex subjects down to their essential components
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills; must be competent at writing and illustrating analyses and presentations
  • Ability to interact professionally at all levels of the organization, clearly articulating subject matters in a persuasive manner
