The new Novartis 'AI for Life' Residency Program offers you a unique opportunity to build your skills and get hands-on experience working on Data & AI solutions to ultimately discover, develop and expand patients' access to our treatments. You will have access to breakthrough technologies, therapies and big datasets whilst learning from some of the finest and most innovative minds in their fields.
Program highlights • Duration: 12 months, starting in September 2019 (some flexibility with starting date) • Location: Novartis Headquarters in Basel, Switzerland • You will benefit from a rich program of onboarding, learning and mentorship with Novartis Data and Digital leaders • You will have access to Novartis large scale data from state-of-the-art technology • You will be leading innovative projects to put in practice your technical skills, develop your potential as a leader and healthcare knowledge in our Innovative Research as well as later stage Development Units • You will join the first cohort of this program and have the opportunity to influence its future design
Minimum requirementsYour profile • Recent MSc/PhD university graduate (you graduated no more than 12 months ago) • Graduate of Engineering Sciences (e.g. computational biology and bioinformatics, computer sciences, data science), Natural Sciences, Applied Economics or Mathematics (statistics, genetics, physics, biology or related field) • High-learning capacity and curiosity • Solution-based approach to problem-solving • Strong interpersonal and communication skills recognized as team player and ready to take the initiative • Fluency in Python, R, and/or Matlab and scripting in a Unix/Linux environment • Strong track record of scientific achievements or peer-reviewed publication • English Language skills essential and other languages highly desirable
