Head of Distribution Portfolio & Effectiveness (80-100% - m/f/diverse) in Zürich

The Distribution division ensures that offers of the Lufthansa Group (LHG) airlines can be obtained by customers at their preferred points of purchase. In doing so, it aligns the supply side of the Lufthansa Group airlines with the customer demand in a margin-optimal manner, considering cost of distribution and strategic aspects.

The Lufthansa Group Head of Distribution Portfolio & Effectiveness is based in Zurich and reports to the Lufthansa Group Head of Distribution. You lead LHG‘s Program Portfolio, Transversal Projects, Communication, Effectiveness & Operational Excellence Measures and Process Architecture for Distribution and Payment. You are responsible for process changes and continuous adaptions linked to regulatory policies.

 Your Duties

• Definition and steering of effectiveness programs across Distribution and Payment field, driving efficiencies in the yearly cost
• Definition of operational excellence targets and measures to ensure consistent service quality and recurring improvements towards internal and market stakeholders
• Conceptualization, development and implementation of process requirements, related KPIs, continuous improvement of process interfaces
• Driving large transversal initiatives spanning across Distribution and Payment field, in particular in relation with Joint Venture and Alliance airline partners
• Development and management of Distribution and Payment program portfolio
• Distribution and Payment Change and Communication plans, including anticipation and framing of market impacts and internal change and training programs
• Adoption and implementation of regulatory constraints for the entire Lufthansa Group Distribution and Payment process scope and implementation of GDPR policies also for the Lufthansa Group Revenue Management process
• Planning, monitoring and reporting of the budget for entire Distribution and Payment processes
• Leadership, motivation and development of team members

• University degree (Master) in Business Administration, Economics or comparable
• In-depth knowledge of the travel distribution and/or payment industry
• Experience in leading change initiatives and commercial transformation programs with a strong technology aspect
• Project management experience
• Leadership skills
• Fluent in English and German
• Ability to work across functional lines
