Jobbeschreibung

SWISS vocational training educates our polymechanics and automaticians including the licensed aircraft engineers training. An organization with overall more than one hundred apprentices. As the head of vocational training, you are in charge to lead this department in all commercial and leadership respects including marketing concepts, customer acquisition and education concept improvements.

Your Duties

  • Lead the apprentices` education organization of the vocational shop and the emphasis training
  • Familiarize young people with the SWISS culture and grant a high quality education with an emphasis towards educating future aircraft engineer including earliest possible EASA Cat B licensing
  • Focus on constant improvement of the vocational training program (shop and emphasis)
  • Recruitment of the required amount of apprentices, including acquisition of customers to educate their apprentices
  • Representation of the vocational training at «Berufsschule», SWISSMEM, MBA, authorities and «Berufsmesse»
  • Ensure the MBA (Mittel- und Berufsschulamt) acceptance of Educational syllabi (“Lehrpläne”)
  • Guide the annual evaluation of necessary amount of apprentices in accordance with company needs
  • Establish yearly budget, investment plan and work-force calculations and monitor financial key figures for the vocational training
  • Representation of the department and answering respective technical questions during Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA) and / or European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) audits
Your profile
  • Technical apprenticeship with relevant further education or university degree (Bachelor in education would be an asset)
  • Minimum of five years of work experience, especially proven experience in leading a technical vocational training organization
  • Good knowledge of the Swiss educational system, particularly on the education of polymechanics and automaticians
  • Track record in designing and executing successful training programs and understanding the training needs of the technical operation of an airline
  • Hands-on team player and interest to work with young people
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a drive to inspire employees
  • Proven experience in project management
  • Good understanding of EASA Part-66, Part-145 and Part-M requirements for aircraft engineers, as an asset
  • Proven strong analytical and problem solving skills combined with good presentation and communication skills
  • Further education in economics / finances is an advantage
  • Very good MS Office knowledge
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
