Jobbeschreibung

We are looking for an experienced “Senior Purchaser Indirect Goods” to join our Strategic Procurement Team in Zurich. In this capacity, you are part of the Lufthansa Group Procurement Organization and bear appropriate responsibility for assigned categories “General Goods & Services”. Within this diversified and dynamic environment, you will perform your duties in collaboration with various stakeholder and Business Units of our organization (Distribution, Human Resources, Ground Services and more).

As part of the Strategic Procurement Management, you will be responsible for the commercial aspects of projects within your area of competency. Your expertise allows you to critically scrutinize the demand organization and support it in all aspects of procurement and supplier management.

 

Your duties

  • Perform strategic sourcing, including identification of potential suppliers, tendering, evaluation and supplier selection as well as supplier relationship management
  • Lead and coordinate purchasing projects in collaboration with different stakeholders within Lufthansa Group (LHG)
  • Conclude and implement contractual agreements and ensure communication/handover to all responsible stakeholders
  • Liaise with legal department to record contractual obligation
  • Partner with LHG Category Management according Operating Model of category
  • Contribute to and engage in LHG Category Management initiatives and projects
  • Support development and execute implementation of category strategies for assigned categories (services and indirect goods such as Financial Services, Insurance, HR, Consultancy, Vehicles)
  • Participate in preparing of requests for decisions by internal management bodies
  • Developing procurement processes and introducing e-procurement tools in cooperation with Corporate Procurement Services and IT
  • Represent procurement function and interests to internal customers, suppliers and external partners
Your profile
  • University degree in Procurement, Business Administration or equivalent education (i.e. Advanced Federal PET Diploma in procurement)
  • Minimum of five years of experience in (strategic) procurement functions, preferably at an international service company
  • Pronounced methodological and negotiating skills, project management, especially in procurement projects
  • Experience in dealing with complex procurement processes in a corporate environment
  • Strong communicative skills, combined with a determined nature and a flexible approach
  • A proactive, solution-driven and team-minded attitude and a keen sense of initiative
  • The capacity to assess the legal ramifications of activities within your own area of expertise, to prepare for negotiations efficiently and to conclude clear and unambiguous contractual agreements based on templates
  • A strong command of German and English (further languages are an advantage)
  • Willingness to travel
