Internship Ground Operations Economics (all genders)

SWISS Ground Operations is assuring the worldwide airport services for SWISS passengers and aircraft.

The Economics & Commercial Airport Infrastructure department of SWISS Ground Operations is responsible for economics, financial and commercial matters for one of the biggest and most complex budget positions of SWISS. As a team member of the Economics Team you will get a general and detailed view on the main cost blocks Ground Handling, Airport Fees & Charges and Air Traffic Control Charges. You are in close contact with the respective cost block specialists, the accounting department, the local providers and authorities. As a team member of the overall Ground Operations team, you will get to know Ground Operations functions, processes and interfaces.

Your responsibilities

• Cost and invoice control of Ground Handling and Airport Charges
• Ensures correctness of invoices and costs as well as manage claims and credit notes
• Support the automated cost control process to receive the best possible match of the invoice and the internal calculations from the system
• Various analysis and smaller projects in cooperation with the respecting stakeholders to reach cost saving potentials/improved processes
• Ensures the correctness of all updates of the Ground Operations contracts into the Legal Contract Management Tool

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or an “HF” Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education in Business Administration or equivalent studies
• Interest and Flair for the Aviation Industry in particular Ground Operations
• Excellent German and English knowledge; written and spoken
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to details
• High cost/benefit awareness
• Proactive and willingness to take over various tasks
• Independent working style and ability to communicate towards different stakeholders

Salary:
CHF 2,500.- gross per month with a Bachelor’s Degree / Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education
CHF 3,000.- gross per month with a Master’s Degree
