Internship Operations Research & ATM (all genders)

The Operations Research & Air Traffic Management department is responsible for innovation to further optimize the flight operation regarding efficiency, punctuality, costs and ecological impact. As an Intern Operations Research & Air Traffic Management with focus to research, you will be part of a small team and support it in various projects and tasks.

Your Duties

• Analyze different flight operational subjects like efficiency, punctuality, aircraft rotation, slot swapping, flight path optimization and arrival/departure wave optimization
• Assess and design technical and procedural measures for potential savings in collaboration with other departments like Flight Dispatch, Network Operations, Slot Manager, Operation Control Center
• Data analysis for single or multiple flights using Flight Data Monitoring and Data Warehouse tools

• Bachelor degree is a must, Master student in Aviation or Computer Science is of advantage
• Advanced user knowledge of MS Office tools (Excel, Power Point, Word, Access)
• Good knowledge in database and programming language like SQL, VBA, VBScript, JS and HTML
• Knowledge about Flight Operations and associated processes is of advantage
• Fluent English (written and spoken); German is an advantage
• Self-dependence with very proactive attitude and creativity
• Follows an analytical approach and acts as team player

CHF 2'500 - per month for Bachelor degree
