Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to: • Conduct exploratory research for a Master thesis in the field of tissue regeneration • Use/learn multiple state of the art techniques (in vitro & ex vivo primary cell culture, immunostainings, genetic modulation and profiling) • Work in collaboration with other team members • Work in-line with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) guidelines • Conduct data analysis, documentation and presentation with the aim of preparing a Master Thesis

Minimum requirementsWhat you'll bring to the role: • Student in Biological sciences with the aim of conducting research for a Master thesis, preferably in Biology/Pharmacology, Cell Biology or Biochemistry • Hands-on experience in using some of the standard molecular and cell biology techniques: cell transfection, viral transduction, flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, molecular cloning, RNA extraction and qRT-PCR • Experience in the isolation, cultivation and characterization of primary cell types is an advantage • Experience in histology techniques (frozen and paraffin sections), immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization and microscopy is an advantage • Experience in handling and necropsy of laboratory animals (mice) is an advantage • Relevant computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office • Ability to work in an international team • Good presentation skills • Well-organized, show initiative, commitment and flexibility • Fluency in English; ability to write a Master thesis in English
