  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    The Facility Intern is directly accountable for the following typical activities:

    Promotes high level of satisfaction among Facility team members and The Client users by promptly responding to their service requirements.Provides administrative support to the Facilities Management Team.Ensures compliance with the Jones Lang LaSalle Best Practice, policies and procedures.Assists the Facilities Team in developing a close working relationship with all the vendors under his/her control to ensure that they fully understand The Client culture.

    Additional duties and Responsibilities

    Work with the Facilities Team to assist with various tasks essential to the operation of the building.Carry out building walkabouts/tours to identify and raise work orders for issues that need to be fixed.Prepare, create, update and cancel purchase orders.Health & Safety – perform quarterly safety checks to ensure that the workplace is kept clean and tidy.Resolve customer issues in a friendly and co-operative manner with politeness and courtesy.Proactively keep list of self-identified and share with relevant supplier for fixing and follow-up until root cause identified and corrected.Convey and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times while providing extraordinary customer service.

    User satisfaction scores and comments reflect end-user productivity, and continuous improvement.

    Communications

    Proactive updates; always closes the loop; recognizes who the right players are and keeps them informed; commercializes change and celebrates success.

    Key Performance Indicators

    Uninterrupted site operations, No KPI/CPI outages.

    Compliance with Health and Safety legislation

    Skills/Competencies

    Excellent communication skills – ability to identify key persuaders and represent data/results in highly impactful ways.Result-orientation.Ability to deal with ambiguity and seek guidance when necessary.Ability to work under pressure and within deadlines.Ability to self-manage, balancing multiple priorities and customers.Self-motivation and pro-activeness.Good knowledge of Word for Windows, Excel, PowerPoint.Filing, sorting, data management and general organization skills.Fluent English and French spoken and written language.

    Experience

    No experience needed, this position is suitable for a student interested in learning and working in Facility Management.

    Qualification

    Able to work in Switzerland.
