The International Political Economy Group of Professor Thomas Bernauer is offering a fully funded position for a Doctoral Student in Environmental Politics.

Job description

The International Political Economy / International Environmental Politics research group at the Center for Comparative and International Studies (CIS) is led by Prof. Thomas Bernauer (). Its research and teaching focuses on political and other conditions under which environmental and economic problems that extend beyond national borders can be solved. Depending on her/his particular skills and interests, the new doctoral student will be embedded in and contribute to one or more of the group’s research projects.

Your profile

The successful candidate should hold a Master degree in political science, political economy, or economics, and be very familiar with political science/political economy theories, quantitative empirical methods, and preferably also survey methods. The position will start in autumn 2020, the funding is for up to four years.
