Postdoctoral Scientist in Atmospheric Dynamics and Extremes in Zürich

We invite applications for a Postdoctoral position (2 years, with the possibility of extension) at the Institute for Atmospheric and Climate Science.

We are looking for a candidate for a Postdoctoral position in the Atmospheric Predictability group of D. Domeisen at ETH Zurich. The aim of the project is to advance the understanding of the causes, predictability, and impacts of extreme temperature events related to atmospheric dynamics. We invite candidates with research interests in one or several of the topics of atmospheric wave dynamics, teleconnections, extreme temperature events and their impacts, and/or predictability.

The candidate is expected to have a PhD in atmospheric science, applied mathematics, physics, or a related field, with a strong background in atmospheric fluid dynamics and excellent coding skills. The candidate should speak English fluently.
