The Laboratory of Inorganic Chemistry (LAC) is offering a position for a PhD candidate. The position should be filled as soon as possible, funding for the position is available for 4 years.

Job description

You will be part of an excellent international research team and benefit from the scientific and complementary training program with TU-Berlin. We offer an attractive salary according to , plus mobility and family allowances as applicable.

The PhD candidate will target the study of molecular complexes immobilized on various periodic mesoporous hybrid materials and coordination polymers to configure a proper single-site solid catalysts for the conversion and reduction of nitrous oxide (N2O) and other nitrogen oxides (NOx). The applicant would be responsible for the synthesis of ligands and organometallic precursors, immobilization of the organometallic complexes on the materials, catalyst characterization, and conducting catalytic tests.

Your profile

Qualified candidates should have a Masters in Chemistry and experience in organic/organometallic/inorganic synthesis. Applicants should be able to adequately express themselves in English, both spoken and written.
