For the Electrochemistry Laboratory we are looking for a
PhD Student Materials for Next-Generation Water Electrolysis
Your tasks
Synthesize and characterize noble metal decorated oxide nanoparticle catalysts Develop new proton exchange membranes comprising nanoparticles Characterize new materials and components in the water electrolysis cell Study composition-structure-property relationships of developed materials Elaborate prospects and limitations for next-generation water electrolyzers Publish in international leading scientific journals Support teaching at ETH Zürich

Your profile
University degree in chemistry or materials sciences Strong background in synthetic work Proven problem-solving skills Creative, hands-on personaligy Well-developed communication skills and good command of the english language (spoken and written) Knowledge in electrochemistry helpful Programming skills would be an additional benefit
