The cosmology group led by seeks to answer fundamental questions about the Universe: What is the nature of Dark Matter and Dark Energy? What are the initial conditions for the formation of cosmic structures? Is General Relativity valid on cosmological scales? Applicants are invited to apply for one (or several) postdoctoral position(s) in Cosmology at the Institute for Particle Physics and Astrophysics at ETH Zurich.

Job description

The candidate(s) will work in the Cosmology group of Prof. Alexandre Refregier and may focus on data analysis, observations and/or theoretical interpretation. The candidate(s) will also be encouraged to develop their own research programme. The research group is involved in several wide-field state-of-the-art cosmological survey projects and has guaranteed access to high-performance computer clusters. Your profile

Candidates should have a PhD in Physics or Astronomy. Previous experience in cosmology is preferred, but experience in related areas is also suitable. The position(s) is/are initially for 1 year, extendible twice to a total of three years. Postdocs have access to research funds for computers, travel, conference participation, publication charges and other needs.
