Complete understanding of the scientific topic and of the main synchrotron spectroscopic techniques (Ambient Pressure X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy and Near Edge X-Ray Absorption Fine Structure spectroscopy)

In situ spectroscopic characterization of a model catalytic system

Synthesis of silver/oxide heterogeneous catalysts

Complete in situ spectroscopic characterization of heterogeneous catalysts under catalytically relevant conditions and in a chemical looping cycle

Publish in international leading scientific journals

Support teaching at ETH Zürich

Your profile

Master degree in chemistry, physics, materials science or related

Background in synthesis of heterogeneous catalysts

Proven problem-solving skills

Creative, hands-on personality

Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team

Well-developed communication skills and good command of the english language (spoken and written)

Knowledge in photoelectron spectroscopy and synchrotron techniques helpful

Programming skills would be an additional benefit
