Java/Matlab Software Development / Student Assistant 35 % Description: We are looking for a bachelor/masters student to work part time to support the development of a general-purpose software for the browsing and analysis of large-scale, high-dimensional data ( see here for an earlier version ). We develop and employ this software at the Institute of Neuroinformatics, a joint institute of the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich. Your responsibilities Your initial tasks would center on developing custom GUI components in Java to be embedded in MATLAB. Subsequent tasks will include work on the back end of the software, like the implementation of novel analysis and visualization components. Your profile The successful applicant has a proven experience in software development, ideally having worked on a larger-scale project, is proficient in Java, including a good understanding of the Swing framework, and has worked with MATLAB.
