Job Description Biologics technical development is seeking a highly motivated Postgraduate associate for the DSP group. You will contribute to the development and characterization of purification processes for therapeutic proteins, in particular monoclonal antibodies. In this role, your responsibilities include: • Perform and document routine scientific activities for the purification process development of biologics in collaboration with experienced team members. • Provide documentation of raw data, evaluation and interpretation of routine results. • Recognize and communicate experimental issues. Provide input on deviations and unexpected results from experiments. • Actively support the transfer of DSP processes within the department to pilot plant or GMP production. • Actively support the process characterization by executing design of experiments (DOE) and analyzing data. • Contribute to maintenance of lab instruments/infrastructure; keep record of lab chemicals and intermediates. • Ensure all own activities are aligned with overall drug development process and work according to appropriate lab procedures, SOPs and Novartis Guidelines.
Minimum requirements• Recently completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or similar • Excellent English (written & spoken) • Good command of MS Office, MS Access, SQL query Acrobat reader, Acrobat Advanced tool is a plus, knowledge of programming language (VBA, JavaScript) • Hands on experience in protein chromatography required. • Passion for working with complex technical equipment
