Job Description In Analytical Research & Development (ARD), we built up the pharmaceutical lab of the future. This digital pilot lab is a modern lab space to prototype and validate the vision of a digital lab by bringing together new advances in instrument connectivity, motion detection, personal assistant technologies and robotics. All of this enabling automation of routine tasks, automatic data capturing and transcription from instruments and lab scientist (human interface) and accessibility of data from anywhere to anyone. As a result, we expect enhancements in data understanding (Data2Knowledge), productivity, reproducibility, quality & compliance, thus enabling our scientists to strengthen focus on real science.
Within this innovative environment you will contribute to the innovation project proposal: Prototype the human interface to allow automatic process data capturing and transcription in the analytical lab.
Your tasks include but are not limited to:
• Support the digital pilot lab in enabling automation of routine tasks, automatic data capturing and transcription from lab scientist (human interface). • Prototype and validate personal assistant technologies, such as Mixed Reality, SmartGlasses, and voice-powered lab assistant systems with related applications and low code UI • Develop knowledge about automatic fusion data capturing technologies from lab scientist and instruments. If possible develop related Android Apps (Android Studio) for smart devices
Duration: 9 -12 months internship
Minimum requirements• Post-graduate (M.Sc.) or advanced Master Student in e.g. Information Technologies • Special interest in life science technologies and instruments (e.g. in the field of analytical development and quality control) • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams in an international environment • Strong communication, organizational and scientific skills • Good knowledge in MS Office and Web tools • Skills and/or interest in digitalization technologies such as customer experience; cloud, webscale, IoT; data science including analytics; information technology, cognitive science, robotics • Skills in SQL database and interest in R and Shiny, UI designing are of advantage • Development experience/interest for Android Apps (Android Studio) for smart devices
