The Laboratory of Energy Science and Engineering (LESE) is looking for a highly motivated expert in electron microscopy with a strong background in material characterization, structure analysis and in-situ electron microscopy in the field of catalysis.
You are expected to have a PhD in Material Science, Physics or Chemistry and a proven expertise (publication record) in advanced AC-(S)TEM and electron diffraction for the structural analysis of inorganic materials/catalysts. Furthermore, expertise in EELS and ePDF analysis, as well as in-situ electron microscopy specifically in the field of heterogeneous catalysis, is highly valued.
You will participate in research projects and closely work with PhD students, postdocs and collaborators of the Laboratory of Energy Science and Engineering. Your work will focus on the characterization of catalysts and CO2 sorbents via electron microscopy (using the equipment available at ScopeM: ) including data analysis.
Working in a top-level research environment with advanced laboratory infrastructure, you will have a unique opportunity to develop your research abilities. The position is available from September 2022 onwards.
